Better (in several critical respects) than the Best Loudspeakers in the World. Full Stop.
Far be it for us to say that someone has not created the single best loudspeaker in the world. However, we'd like to point out that, for most listening rooms, our LineSource Reference loudspeakers probably deliver higher fidelity than some loudspeakers billed as The Best in The World.
Why? The best in the world are not line sources nor, given their small radius vertical corners, are they designed to minimize diffraction. Also, being D=Appolito designs, they are optimized for the seated listener.
We find most people like to have a large sweet spot so they will experience minimal frequency balance changes and soundstage shifts as they move around the room or listen with other people.
What does being a line source have to do with that? A Ribbon line source produces a column of sound as opposed to the spherical sound radiation pattern from a dome based system. This columnar dispersion pattern minimizes floor and ceiling reflections and allows the listener to avoid many room modes which upset frequency balance as well as soundstage focus and depth.
Ribbons and electrostatic loudspeakers have long been the choice of dedicated audiophiles. Some of the reason for this attraction has been due to their line source dispersion patterns which have enhanced their transparency and detail.
Many of the other performance aspects of our Coaxial LineSource Ribbon loudspeakers are world class as well. Their acoustic attractions of very high dynamics, superb detail, soundstaging, and transparency are made easy to live with by their high efficiency and high impedance electrical characteristics. Your ears will love them and so will your amplifiers.
Does this make them the best loudspeakers in the world? No. There is no such thing. But their patent applied for Coaxial Ribbon LineSource configuration is a distinct step forward in the evolution of the loudspeaker/listening room/human ear interface. Every listening room is different and every listener hears differently and prefers different music but our LineSource Reference has the potential to make more listeners, in more rooms, happy than any previous loudspeaker design.
As far as reproducing your music in your world, they will probably be the best you have ever heard.
