For simplicity and because most room modes occur below 1,000Hz, these curves do not include Ribbon measurements.
Only the midbass drivers were measured and at only one point approximating the position of the seated listening ear – 39” off the floor 10’ from the speakers. The curves have been 1/3 octave smoothed for clarity but no effort has been made to achieve a very flat response. The objective is to show the variances in response with different vertical positioning of identical loudspeaker systems (Modules 1 to 4) and how the LineSource configuration compares to the individual systems,
Each module is essentially an R645v3 midbass engine using 2 ScanSpeak 7” drivers wired in parallel. The entire system therefore has 8 drivers in-line wired parallel/series.
Module 1 is on the bottom and Module 4 is on the top. The Modules are 22” high.
