20. John, Spamming is not the way to win friends and influence people. I don't give a damn about your company or its problems. Do you care about mine? Please take me off your mailing list. (you had to contact us at one time to be on our mailing list and I hope you feel better soon - JM) 21. John, I appreciate and thank you for including me in your e-mail re your legal fight. I was not aware of the difficulties you were going through, and was unaware of the 'smear campaign' that had been launched against you, your company, or your speakers. Other than occasional difficulty in connecting to your website, which has various and sundry explainations, I still hold your equipment in high regard and still hope to own a pair of your ribbons in the future. Good luck in your efforts to undo the damage perpetrated upon you. Good luck on catching these fools, who for some reason want to ruin your business, however I know how good your speakers, ribbons ... are. I heard them for myself :O) Still contemplating a purchase in the future. P.S. I will post my experience with your speakers 22. XXXXX I was shocked to read your email about this whole "smear" issue. XXXXX Most of us know that the open forums are basically the same as the majority of the internet, a "party line" with a telephone line around the world. Therefore most of us take the postings with a large "grain of salt." I can say that personally, I have waded through postings such as Planar asylum, Audioreview.com etc. and I had taken no notice of extreme, non-constructive postings and therefore I still see Newform as an excellent company with I am sure an excellent product. 23. I first looked into your company when I heard Magnaplanars from Magnepan. I wanted to research any type of speaker that would give me the fast transient response, open spatial and natural sounds that I hear when I play live and as close as possible to the elusive one to one or "exactly like live" sound that I have set as a benchmark since 1975 when I first started listening to reproduced sound seriously. I believe that your products will compete very well with these elements in mind. I opted for a used pair of MG12's that would suit my budget (Middle income, non-musical spouse, two children and living in Aurora) and had impressed me during live trials. Unfortunately because of your policy and my limited time (Industrial and process controls support consumes many hours) I could not take the time to have a pair of your lower cost speakers shipped, evaluated and possibly shipped back. I was very impressed with an email that I got back asking for my room dimensions so that you could assist a potential customer with a best appliciation. I still look forward to hearing your products some day and hearing if I can justify their purchase. I other words I still believe very highly in your products and I am hoping that I might experience the audio reproduction that I hope they are capable of. All the best to everyone at Newform. 24. John M., I am unfamiliar with this campaign, though I have seen positive comments about your speakers. In fact, the only negative comments I read were that the vertically mounted ribbon tweater was vulnerable if the speaker was mishandled. I have seen similar smear tactics against a couple of other companies, most recently against xxxx of xxxx. Good luck on your image rehabilitation campaign. 25. John, I am _extremely_ satisfied with mine. I am glad you could track down the perpetrators but, to be honest with you, I never gave too much weight to other people's opinion to make a final decision. Once I got your company's name from AudioReview, I felt VERY comfortable when I went to your website and saw the money back guarantee. You just can't beat an in home trial using my own ears. I have been recommending your speakers to many people and have received a lot of ohhh and ahhhh from people hearing them. I think the Tjoeb/Bel Canto/Lexicon (anal bypass)/Newform I have is nothing short of incredible for classical and jazz music. Actually, I should order a pair of 645s to supplement my current 630 as soon as the @!*&)!*&!^$*)!^(*#!^@&! homebuilder will finish my new place... You are really exciting my curiosity when you say you will have new models coming out soon. P.S.: Feel free to quote me - As I said I am a very happy victim ;-) 26. Very sorry to hear about this BS John, The song goes, "Only the good die young." Seems like someone is out to do that to Newform Research. If there is anything I can do to help, please let me know. 27. Dear John, XXXXXX I was not aware of the smear campaign you have been experiencing. There are, it seems XXX people in the world who take it upon themselves to carry on these activities and one can only hope that people who are familiar with your product can and will come forward to speak on your behalf. I have not been able to purchase the the R30 units I wanted because I ran into a design problem in my project and have not come up with a solution yet. However, I wish you a speedy reputational recovery. 28. Dear John, Glad to see that this issue is somewhat resolved ... hope all is well with you 29. Hi John, So sorry that this happened to you. I must admit I was perplexed by some of those total anti reviews amongst the excellent ones which probably did have some effect on my decision against Newform. I am also in small audio manufacturing doing mainly Pro Audio, so will look at this as a warning on the great positive AND negitive powers of the web. Hope everything picks up, however I imagine this sort of thing is a hard hit for company like yours. Hang in there, best regards, |
