Thank you for your informative email. I regret to inform you that after I read Mike Ch postings on audioasylum, I did eliminated Newform Research's speakers from my short evaluation list. I purchased Magnepan 3.6 speakers.
I am sure that many other members were denied the pleasure of objectively evaluating your speakers for themselves, because of this one persons wide spread postings.
I know this had to have been a major financial set back for your company in terms of both sales, and the future growth generated by the referrals from those sales. I regret that I could have been so easily duped. We both lost out!
I hope other members take the time to read your hard won confession.

As a fan of your 645 model, of which I now own two pairs, I truly regret the malicious, contemptious and calculated smear campaign that was levied against your company. I definitely think that this was a deliberate plan. In any case, may your company heal its wounds swiftly and steadily, as your products are undeniably superior values.

My heart goes out to you and your workers and I am so happy to hear that you are resolving this issue.
I had heard rumours of smear campaigns and read at least one review of the R645's that made absolutely no sense. I know this because I own a pair. They are a great product, and I don't say this simply because I bought them and want to justify my purchase through some sort of self-delusion.
Best wishes for the future and I'm looking forward to hearing more about your new products.

I had some problems with the same guy, Some of the issues were my fault but when I read about this I realized it must be the same person that you were talking about. I'm sorry to hear that you've had to endure this kind of treatment.

I have read your "investigation" with much interest. I have some experience on the other side. A year ago I had some problems with a bicycle and I posted a negative review on mtbreview - affiliated with audioreview.com - only to be negatively attacked by a number of parties. I believe just as much of this happens on behalf of or for manufacturers as your case. While unfortunate for Newform, I don't have a lot of sympathy for your tracking this party down. No doubt you have a franchise to protect, but your products should speak for themselves - Evidently you had to protect your high audioreview rating, just like the bike manufacturer that I posted a negative review of. This pursuit no doubt will stifle free expression.
(The point is that you actually bought your bike and used it before you posted a review. MikeCh was posting attack reviews under false names months before he ever heard our loudspeakers. - JM)

Sorry to hear you had a problem, you are a nice guy with a real good product and don't deserve any non sense. Enjoy the music, and yes, let me know about the new products.-- I am still using the Spectron amp you recomended a few years back.
