12. Upgrading from V1 & V2's
A number of people have inquired about upgrading from their v1 and v2 R630s and 645s to the v3s. We feel the best way to support our customers efforts to sell their Newforms on the used market is to offer a 2 year warranty to the buyers of the used speakers when the sellers upgrade to the new v3s. So contact us on this no cost 2 year warranty offer.
13. R645v3 Crossovers
We have upgraded the crossover of the R645v3 model in just this past week. This is an improvement over the crossovers in the R645v3s produced since March. The new xover uses poly caps exclusively and has different component values. With the new crossover, bottom end reach and authority are improved and the upper midbass, lower treble region is smoothed out considerably. Current owners can contact us for a free set of upgraded xovers. The crossover of the R630v3 is unaffected.
14. Projectors and Electronics
If you read our page on front projectors, ( Front Projectors ) then you know we think they are the future of integrated music and home theater systems. Certainly, the September CEDIA show in Denver, that became even more obvious with a host of new projector launches. The theme was better performance and lower prices. They are digital devices so no surprise here.
The new Panasonic AX100U is a 720P projector with very high light output and the ability to vary that light output with changes in the room lighting. This makes front projectors a practical reality for most TV rooms. At a street price of $2000, it is incredible value.
For astounding value, we now have the Optoma 70, the BenQ W500 and the Mitsubishi HD1000 all 720P projectors with street prices of $1000.
Although only 18,000 home theater front projectors were sold in 2005, with their performance and prices, their sales have to be locked onto an exponential curve from now on. Musically, this is a good thing.

a) Which audio/home theater sites are your favourite?
b) Is high sensitivity in loudspeakers important to you? Would a 95dB @1w, 1m speaker be of interest?
